Job Title: Team Leader (DMC/Safari/Travel)Start Date: FlexibleLocation: WindhoekJob Type: Full Time | HybridSalary: Base Salary + BenefitsRequirementsMatricRelevant tertiary qualifications (advantageous)Min of 4 years of Destination Management Company Experience.Min of 5 years Leadership experience in Destination Management CompanyTour plan experienceBenefitsBase SalaryMedical aidHybrid work: 2-3 days in the office per week Flexible working hours: Start no later than 10:00 am as long as you work 8 hours per day + lunchResponsibilitiesEffectively cost productsUnderstand the market and margin controlBuild up and maintain agent / supplier relationshipsSource new products if and when requiredDevelop in cooperation with General Manager business and product strategy to secure additional business from agentsQuote and design successful, creative itineraries and proposalsCapture and confirm bookings in TourplanNegotiate with suppliers for better rates, cancellation policies, FOC’s, value adds etc.Successfully run groups / series bookingsHandling the 24 hour emergency phonePrepare guide documentation and brief guide before travel dateUtilise expertise to improve in conjunction with GM the team’s operational excellencePass on Tourplan knowledge to the team via training/coaching sessionsEnsure the team is up to date with regards to new product, product development, news and changes relevant to the groups teamSupport groups and procurement in a seamless process from negotiating to loading rates in TourplanReconcile supplier invoices for processingAssist debtors’ clerk with invoicing / collection queriesReconcile tour guide expense sheets on completion of tours / check guide salary invoices.Participate in supplier training and workshopsReduce the transaction turnaround timeTravel on educationals and familiarisation trips, including hosting agents at timesAbout The CompanyOur client continuously excels in arranging all aspects of destination management services in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Rwanda, Mozambique, Madagascar and Mauritius.
